Social Studies (5–9) (141)

This test is for the Social Studies (5–9) (CQ) endorsement. It is for candidates seeking certification in the 5–9 grade band. The test is anticipated to be available in Quarter 1, 2027.

NOTE: Both the Social Studies (5–9) test and a Professional Knowledge and Skills test (117, 121, 135, 136) are required to obtain the CQ endorsement for initial certification. Any questions about testing and endorsements can be directed to the Michigan Department of Education.

Computer-based test (CBT)
100 multiple-choice questions

Time

2 hours and 45 minutes total appointment time

15 minutes for CBT tutorial and nondisclosure agreement
2 hours and 30 minutes testing time
